A can a child inherit ADHD if one of the parents has it?

My boyfriend has ADHD and together we have a 3 month old daughter together. We are both unsure if she'll have ADHD just because he be really bad with his impulsive behaviour. I can just about cope with what he does and if she was to have ADHD and be just as bad I don't think I'd be able to cope as I'd probably spend most my time picking up after them and cleaning the messes they make. My boyfriend is unmediated though.
