My sister had a sonogram and i was wondering what they might be checking her for?

My sister was diagnosed with long QT syndrome from a previous cardiologist and while receiving a second opinion they took a sonogram of the kidney, liver, and spleen. The doctor was concerned about the liver and the gallbladder and the pancreas. What could they possibly be checking for?
