What is the best shampoo for thick frizzy curly hair ??/?

i had my hair cut today and my stylist mentioned to me how much waxi had in my hair and said it was from my shampoo and i wash and condition with dove nutrium. now i have never heard of wax buildup on hair from shampoo and conditioner before. so i was wondering what shampoo and conditioner can i use that also wont dry out my hair????
