What was Phelps' problem today in the Yankees game?

I dont think it was a Yankee thing to do either. I dont know why Phelps did that. He didnt need to do that. The catcher was no where near the plate. Oh well its over now and MLB didn't do anything about it so we as fans cant either. It was more of a BO SOX thing to do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
