What do you think of the Bible and what does it mean to you?

I agree that the Bible is a human response to God. I disagree that Moses and Joshua used tribal hate to dominate them. Not only is that opinion based on an anachronistic reading of the text, it goes against academic opinion (which maintains that the Moses and Joshua of the Bible were literary inventions). It is funny, though - 1000 years from now, people will say that the Allied forces used hate to dominate those poor Nazis and murder innocent Berliners.
