Why can`t religious people leave me in peace?

I go to my town centre and there are people that have religious beliefs thrusting their leaflets into my face, I accept that some people believe in a god but I don`t want them to pester me about it. As an Atheist I do not declare my thoughts to them or try to change their minds. Be happy with what you believe and please allow me to get on with reality.
